2008 BUDGET

The pie graph below shows the breakdown of the expenses for the draft budget for our fiscal year 2008-2009 which begins on July 1, 2008. This budget proposes increases in both the water and sewer rates to meet the revenue requirements for the District's proposed budget. The rate increases are described below. WATER RATES

The table below shows a summary of the WATER rates that are being proposed for adoption by the District Board of Directors.  The existing water rate for District customers is split into 2 parts.  The Base Rate is a flat monthly charge in the amount of $14.25 per month for each account that has a water meter.  The second part of the rate is the Variable Rate which currently is a $2.35 charge for each 1,000 gallons of water that is used as determined by meter readings.

The proposed rate increases the Base Rate charge from $14.25 to $14.89 per month for the 2008-2009 fiscal year, and $15.46 for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

The Variable Rate will change to a tiered rate structure.  The tiers and rates for each of the 4 tiers are shown in the table below.  To determine how this rate impacts your water bill you can look up the water use for the 2nd and 3rd quarterly water bills from 2007.  If the total amount of water is less than 60,000 gallons of water; each 1,000 gallons of water used will be billed at a rate of $2.42 per 1,000 gallons used.
